Medical Office Assistant
(MOA)
As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be the welcoming face of NWCD. You’ll ensure seamless operations by coordinating patient appointments, maintaining records, and providing administrative support to our diagnostic team.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications
Greet and assist patients in person and by phone
Schedule and confirm appointments using our EMR system
Prepare and organize patient charts and referral documents
Support physicians and sonographers in daily operations
Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with Alberta’s Health Information Act
Manage billing inquiries and coordinate with insurance providers
Uphold clinic professionalism and ensure front office efficiency
Medical Office Assistant Certificate or Diploma (recognized Alberta program preferred)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare setting
Experience in cardiology or diagnostic imaging considered an asset

As a Cardiac Sonographer, you’ll play a crucial role in patient diagnosis and care by performing high-quality echocardiographic studies. You will work alongside cardiologists and healthcare professionals to deliver accurate, timely diagnostic results.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications
Perform transthoracic echocardiograms and related cardiac ultrasound studies
Acquire, analyze, and document diagnostic images
Provide preliminary technical impressions for cardiologist review
Ensure patient comfort and safety during all procedures
Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment
Collaborate with MOAs, physicians, and administrative staff for optimal workflow
Diploma or degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Cardiac Specialty)
Active registration with Sonography Canada (CRCS) or ARDMS equivalent
Minimum 1 year of echocardiography experience preferred
Excellent patient-care and communication skills
Experience with GE or Philips ultrasound systems is an asset
